ASA Softball headed to Round Rock!
11th Annual Round Rock High School Softball Invitational
ROUND ROCK, TX – December 23, 2009 – For the past 11 years, the Round Rock High School Booster Club has hosted an annual softball tournament to raise funds for female athletes in school activities and scholarships. This event has grown into a highly sought after pre-season tournament. Athletes are able to tune their skills while high school coaches scout their upcoming season’s competition and college coach’s search for new talent!
“We are excited to be back for another successful event that showcases not only our local softball athletes but over 500 players throughout the State of Texas” said Renay Law, President RRHS Softball Booster Club.
“With the new softball fields in Old Settlers Park, we are able to bring in additional young athletes and give them the opportunity to compete in a top-notch facility. It also allows us to show off the City of Round Rock." said Frosty Davis, Tournament Director.
Approximately sixty high school teams, including teams from Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Ft Worth, Houston, Lubbock & San Antonio will be competing for the championship title in Old Settlers Park January 9 &10, 2010. Games will begin on Saturday morning running through Sunday afternoon. Come cheer on your favorite team!
