Texas Tourism & Treats from Round Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau
Round Rock, TX – May 4, 2010 – The Round Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau is celebrating its six-year anniversary during Texas Travel and Tourism week with a ribbon-cutting and breakfast treats at the new Convention and Visitors Bureau’s offices.
Sports-themed treats from local bakery Paige’s Bakehouse and refreshments will be provided for guests while they check out the new space and meet the faces behind the Round Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau. The new offices are located in the heart of downtown on Main Street and are easily accessible for residents and visitors alike.
“Round Rock has been hosting visitors to the Sports Capital of Texas for more than half a decade,” said Nancy Yawn, Director of the Round Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau. “We want to share our new home with Round Rock residents and want them to get to know who we are and how we help this city thrive through tourism.”
Tax revenue generated through tourism helps improve infrastructure and keeps property taxes low. In 2009, Round Rock attracted more than $8 million in annual tourism revenue.
