I am always excited and amazed at how smooth our event (the Texas Elite College Softball Showcase) runs in Round Rock. This is a testament to the teams we work with every year.
This is our third year for us to host the elite college showcase in Round Rock. It is our very first showcase of every season and one that I look forward to, as I know everything is under control. Your staff and your parks continue to make Round Rock one of the very best and easiest cities for us to host our showcases.
Round Rock host the third annual 2012 Elite Diamond Sports Capital of Texas Elite College Softball Showcase June 15 -17 at Old Settlers Park's Champion Fields. The Showcase is expecting to host 60 plus teams. Softball players will display their athletic skills in the presence of college recruiters with a skills camp preceding the games.

Sporting events in the “Sports Capital of Texas” are big business. Every year, millions of dollars flow into Round Rock from amateur and professional tournaments and games.
Most of those events are concentrated between May and August when families are typically free from school obligations and can travel to, stay in and eat in Round Rock, all of which translates to more sales tax dollars for the city.
